As with so many of Colin's creations it usually begins with a 'commission' of some kind , this NEW Vase similar to 'The Manse Ball Vase'... this one stands approx 5” in height with a 1½” Billiard Ball & Shell, a perfect size for intimate cabaret performances or after Dinner Entertainment with Family & Friends… made from Native Hard Wood and painted Black...

This Ball Vase also has it's roots & provenance in the style of the early 19th Century when Turnery of that time favoured local wood and plain styles, sharp definition of shoulders & ridges...  our new edition takes its name from the 'Black & White' colorization rather than the  ‘dwelling’ of the local Minister ‘The Manse’…usually a well situated prominent house close to the Church… and very often where a well used Lathe could be found…
